The polo edit

We love seeing our clothes out and about, and on people who truly make them their own. Our newest launch - a line of organic cotton tshirts - really lends itself to be being worn every day, and every which way. We worked with Chetna Organic on creating this staple (and adding just one cherry star on the sleeve) in a modern slim fit that men and women alike will love. Plus meet some friends of Nicobar, polo players Rajat Khatri, Jai Shergill, Siddhant Sharma and Pranav Kapur, who talked us through their relationship with their utterly chic sport, and the humble tshirt.Rajat Khatri

On personal style
Style for me is what makes you feel comfortable, therefore good. Aligned with the nature of my work formals and smart casuals is what works for me. Denims and tshirts are an essential part of anyone’s wardrobe.

On Polo
Polo helps me unwind and get my adrenaline rush. As a matter of fact, it has become a way of life. Almost 5 times a week if in town my day starts at 05:00 hrs with a 45 minutes riding session on my polo ponies.

On personal style
Tshirts (slim fit is what I prefer) have been an integral part of my wardrobe. As a sportsman they provide comfort and style on the ground as well as off the ground, although I do like to have fun when it comes to my socks (in stripe or polka dots) on an evening out!

On Polo
I have been playing polo for the last 27 years and represented my country both nationally and internationally. I come from a polo-playing family, where my grandfather, my father and my uncle were accomplished polo players and I have followed in our family tradition, being the 3rd generation player. Polo has been a way of life for me and it shall remain.

On personal style
Tshirts do play an integral part in my daily routine whether it’s for a workout or to chill. Something nice and bright, but basic is more my way of being.

On Polo
I can't really say there is just one sort of meaning to it, as it’s everything that defines me and all my life is about. It doesn't happen to fit into my daily routine, it just is my routine. Life moves around polo not the other way around.
Siddhant Sharma

On personal style
I like to keep it pretty casual mostly and I prefer a good fitting tshirt to a shirt anyday. Also considering our weather here in India, tshirts just are easier.

On Polo
I consider myself very lucky to be attached to this sport and to be able to play it. It’s difficult to explain but it’s like an addiction, once one does it you can't really stop doing it. Unfortunately not enough people get to really try it because of the logistics to it. There is a lot that goes behind just the playing--prepping yourself, getting the horses to a good level of fitness, the entire team (grooms) that works at the stables all year. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and glad I’m I get to everyday.
