Honey, grey, and sunshine. This is Nicobar’s summer in Bentota, where buttery sunshine meets the amaltas blossom yellow and the graphic pattern that is Geoffrey Bawa’s stamp. Fabrics are light as air and skim the body in silhouettes that are designed for languid summer days. Wafer-thin chanderi and cotton are pieced together, airy separates only graze the body, delicate ivory threadwork wafts across ivory cotton; a little piece of India woven into a season’s meanderings in Sri Lanka. Our signature motifs float in, little pops of crimson and grey embroidery...this is Bentota.
